Hearing the
seriousness of stories surrounding the pandemic, Jeanne wondered, “What would contracting COVID mean for me?” and “Is my critical information organized and in one place?"
"I didn’t want to leave behind a mess for my kids when I could so easily get this taken care of now.”
And so began the work.
Taking advantage of the quiet in the quarantine, Jeanne began to pull together information she thought they might need in the event she became ill quickly or was hospitalized indefinitely.
“While we can never fully prepare for incapacitation or end-of-life, we can eliminate the extra burden placed on those we love.”
The vision for Your Legacy Files is to inspire, equip, and help others intentionally plan for the future. We do this by equipping people to organize important information, so they find peace in being prepared for emergency or end-of-life considerations.
We provide tools to simplify a detailed process, making a complex task less intimidating for loved ones, sparing them the burden of sorting through all our paperwork during an already difficult time.

Marcy Haben Kraft
Marcy Haben Kraft is an accomplished entrepreneur and businesswoman whose most recent project is Your Legacy Files, co-founded with her beautiful mother, Jeanne Haben. Marcy embodies joy and embraces life fully; she has made it her life mission to enable people to do the same!
Whether she is working with a client as a Life Coach or coordinating details of worship, Marcy is dedicated to using her unique gifts to serve others and help people find freedom from anything holding them back. Her experience in human resources, sales, and 25 years in ministry have all contributed to the important work of helping her clients leave a final gift behind for those they love.
Fun fact: She has sung the National Anthem for both the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins games!
Dixie Gibbons
Dixie is a leader in the software industry whose career has spanned over 30 years in software development and customer relationship management. She is enthusiastic about ensuring that anything she touches directly serves and helps other people; collaborating with the YLF team has allowed her to do just that! Dixie’s engineering skills and technical expertise have been foundational in creating the Organizational Guide, establishing a tool that is both intuitive and user-friendly.
Kristen Tate
Kristen spent 15 years with the WALT DISNEY COMPANY, where she worked in Operations Leadership, Human Resources, Leadership & Organization Development, and Executive Coaching. She loves being a part of the creative process in new business development and bringing people together to give life to the products and services they believe in. With a knack for storytelling and creative writing, Kristen supports the marketing and communication strategies for Your Legacy Files.
Michele Swanson
Michele has dedicated 31 years of Accounting and Finance expertise to both corporate and non-profit organizations. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Michele holds an MBA and BS degree in accounting. Michele’s business acumen is second to her heart for people and passionately working alongside those who share in her common desire to put good into the world.
